Guys, I am trying to get the raw video up to youtube from my JVC Everio. I don't do video editing(don't know how) so this is as good as it's gonna get from me. However, after hours of f'ing with the system I finally got it to recognize that I have videos on the card. So I went to upload it to youtube and it started uploading and 15 minutes later it was at 90% and then said it failed to upload. tried again and the same thing. I can upload it from my computer file but the stupid JVC Everio has some weird format that causes the sound to not transfer with the file, and the quality isn't as good.

You need to download the video off of the card and onto your hard drive, then upload to youtube, or once it is on your hard drive, you can open windows movie maker and import that file from your hard drive and cut sections out and add titles, then go to file and "make movie," and your done! If you have any questions, I could help you out! I want to see the Hempel yaks fly!

Well, I bet the FILE TYPE the camera made is not recognized. He needs to use a converter to convert it to a recognized format for YOU TUBE.

I downloaded "any video converter" and it converted it to Realplayer and I got the sound, but the quality went to crap. I have an SD card reader that I uploaded the file to but the video quality went to crap and I lost sound. In the process of re-uploading it through the camcorder's "one-touch youtube uploader" feature through the camera's provided software. We will see how it goes. What really pisses me off is that it will upload up to 90% and then take a crap. And it takes like 40 friggin minutes to get there to find that you just wasted 40 minutes of your life!!!!!!!

Youtube has limits if the video is to long or to large it will go to the end and not allow it.

Yea, do that, open movie maker and inport the video, then set the quality lower if the file is too large for youtube. I think youtube allows up to 1 gb of video now. Also in movie maker you can edit the video to be shorter and that will help with file size as well.....
