OOOh, the 150cc class Yak will have the best of all! Designed to be 'the' IMAC plane of the future!! It will have a WS of 118" C/F landing gear, wing tube, stab tube. Super light weight construction, hollow-cored foam wings, pocket hinging, 1-pc canopy/hatch, Cost: $1400.00 ARF avialable in the blue/white or Yellow/Red scheme! BH |

That's not bad, how is the 50cc version for IMAC?
I'm looking for something that could be a back up for my primary. |

I have both the 100 and 50. The reason I got the 50 was for a backup IMAC plane. Same color and plane = same sight picture for manuvers.

Not sure of the final weight of the Yak, but all lightening measures are on this airframe. Motor box, landing gear area, fuselage sides, all have maximum weight reduction in mind. Using all CF parts will help too. No wheel pants help in weight reduction........ The only thing I can think of that would be lighter would be a cf tail wheel. But that will also change (but not in time for this next container). If you run mufflers and not a canister or pipes, the weight will be very competitive. I am hoping for a under 40 pound flying weight but it could be 37 pounds or 41 pounds, I reall y have no idea at this time.

I can't see how the 150cc version would be more than 40-41 pounds with cans or pipes, based on how light my 100cc is with aluminum landing gear. I am sure I could get one under 40 pounds easily...

Went really well. The axial rolls on this plane are great and fun to do. Knife edge ia also really good. The only problem I had was watching out for that really big 60% Cub that Bill was flying!!!
