Here are some pics of the 50cc and 100cc. As soon as the rain stops I will get a picture of them side by side. If all goes well, the 50cc will be done this weekend. These are all of the 50cc.

And some more of the 50 vs 100. And once the rain stops I will get pics of both of them put together.

Here are some pics of the finished plane. Got a chance to put a flight on this morning and other than needing a better prop and a minor CG adjustment the plane rocks. Cant wait till next weeked when I can get some more time on this thing.
If all gos well, I will start documenting the 100cc and will try to do a better job at documenting the assembly. The planes are so easy to finish, its just a matter of bolting and screwing things on. Cutting the cowl and aligning the motor are the most time consuming thing you will have to do. |

This 100cc seems just a bit smaller than some of the other 35% offerings out there. Do you think it may be a good candidate for a DA85 and pipe, or would you end up having to add a bunch of noseweight? I like the length of 92" as compared to say the 110" of the EF Yak 54.

The plane looks nice Bill! You'll do well with these I'm sure.

I really liked the cowl features and details.
![]() Most Yak cowls I've seen are either just a round opening up front or a flat plate (with square openings for cooling the cylinders). Awful!! ![]() But check this photo out, it looks like even the grills are functional! ![]() ![]() http://www.flyinggiants.com/forums/a...ak-55m-009.jpg I'll have to agree with the "it's so ugly it's cool" thing. This is a design that's growing on me as well... ![]() Just for clarification, which Yak 55 model is this one? The 55M or the 55SP? |
