i only did the dry assembly once before we started shrinking all the covering and mine fit nice and tight........

That is odd. I'd send Bill an email or PM to see what he suggests. However, if the packing tape works.....

Its a first for me! I dont mind the tape just dont know if its the right way to do things

I used 3 or 4 coats of clear Lustrekote spray (dont remember exactly). Tightened up the tube to take out some of the slop with out being too snug. I have packing tape on my Edge's wing tube and I have not had any issues with it.

See, I knew I saw that pic of the can going past the tunnel end some where, looks great! I have been flying mine with the pitts (it needed the nose weight anyway) but I have saved the can for the 100cc (which I just started assembly on). Really like the carbon fiber plate, I've got some lying around from a couple of robot projects, don't know why I didn't think of making up a custom mount from that. Pure genius!
