Edge 540 Lawn Dart

I was practicing opposite landings for me today, was doing well until the last one of the day, when i was going out to make my last run at the runway, i was banking right to set up for my approach and in doing so for some reason i just kept banking right right into the ground, only thing i can figure is the DUMB THUMB effect came over me and this is all that was left, so needless to say im looking for another aiframe to stick my MLD 28 in.

Nice plane if they had any. They don't even know how much they want for them. If they had one they might I reckon. HAH ! Sorry man. I have beeen looking at planes to put a OS 1.20 four stroke in since I have had this engine for a few years and never put it in a plane.

Got any ideas on a good plane for that engine ? I'd like to glue some sticks together if I could but the only kit I can find that fits the bill is a Great Planes Extra 300S that is more suited for a .90 engine. It is only 64" but "rated" for up to 1.20 on the four strokes. I favour Extras by the way. Hopefully I can come up with something 10lbs. or less. Better less say 9lbs.

Sorry to highjack the thread. I am wondering how low you were on the final turn ? I have pulled a few boners myself. My most bestest one was my first Extra and first 1.20 size plane many moons ago. I plugged the aileron servos in backwards. I finally got a grip on the awsome roll rate (going the wrong way) and took a deep breath thinking "I got this" when I eased the stick right to bank left and pulled in a little elevator and the top wing got sliced off by a powerline. Hu-Duh.

Thanks for the link i'll check into that. I honestly cant say how low i was it happened so fast, i do know i didnt have time to recover obviously, i'll just have to chalk it up to dumb luck i guess. Yeah Peak Model no mo!

Well i decided to go bigger and picked up a PAU 30% Edge from a buddy and im stoked i did.

Yeah im torn between the DL55 or the DA50 they both seem to be great engines, i know DA has awesome customer support, DL im not sure of so i lean torwards the DA for that reason.

edgeman540 has a dl50 almost new he had on his he's trying to sell pm him.I know he doesn't want much for it.I see you live in WA if I were you it would be dl.Their right there fast service.VVRC ya.Thats if you need it which I don't think you'll need.
