You were supposed to cut the covering around the control horns, and not just the slots to glue the little tabs to the control surface as well as through the control surface... If you just glued the tabs ontop of the covering, you are only bonding to the covering and not the control surface and relying on the glue of the covering, which isn't squat.................

OOPS!

The bond is inside the slot, not on top of the wood. I wouldnt think that would be a problem unless there isnt much glue inside there.

Hi

The square covers are stops and not structural, this is how I do it, its not wrong but my choice.

If you want to see balsa squares on every surface feel free to remove the covering first, I pierce the covering with a pin in several places first to allow the epoxy to pentrate the covering.

Hi guys

Pilot also supply this neat cooling exit hole cover for the bottom of the fuselage, which I thought was an excelent template for marking the bottom of the cowl for cutting slots for the cooling air exit from the cowl also ( cheated and used for both the 260 and Sbach)

Marking the cowl was very easy simply cover with masking tape place template over and draw round the slots, then out comes the dremel with cutting disc for the straight lines and grind stone for the corners, this process was also used to cut a couple of extra cooling slots in the front of the cowl to improve cooling direct onto the engine cylinder

Not forgetting I had to remove a small section of the fuselage cooling air hatch to clear the rear exhaust can outlet then fit the modified plate

The drop from centre line of the exhaust port to the centre of the can tunnel is 55mm(2.165" or 2 3/16")

How soon is "soon" for the 50cc version? Christmas present soon or by next summer soon? How long before some videos of the prototype?

Thanks
