Sleepy,
Thanks for the flight reports on the YAK! Still looking at this as one of the options, and for the price is a good deal. Right now still trying to dial in the Tunnel Vision. Say, tell me how you decided on the amount of the mixes with your Yak. If your radio does not have those mixes, what else can you do? My TV goes to the canopy on KE, I hear one remedy is to move the cg back or put a little down trim in each aileron. Karl

Karl,
For me I went with a "feel" by how much the plane pulled to the wheels or canopy. if its slight 1 - 2% should be a good starting point. if its pretty drastic (and your know your CG is pretty neutral) then rock 5 - 10%. If it pulls to the wheels on KE, put in up ele, if it pulls to the canopy put in down ele. You may also have to mix in a bit of opposite aileron to keep the plane from roll coupling. To check your CG in flight confitions, pull to a 45 deg up line, roll inverted, and continue up the 45 deg line for a second than pull back the throttle and see which way the plane falls. If the plane continues forward for a few feet then falls your good. If the plane puls up towards the wheels your tail heavy If the plane pulls down hard towards the canopy your nose heavy. Once you have that dialed, then you can see what mixing you can do. If you don't have mixes available.. you can add a few clicks of trim right before going into the KE. But if your at this level of flying, I would suggest trying to get a radio that can support mixes. It will make your life SOOOOO much easier, and your plane fly very smoothly. Some that are decently priced are the Futaba 7 Cap, or JR has the 8303? (sorry I'm not a JR guy, but I know they have a budget priced radio that has mixes)
