Default Build Thread MX2 with a MT57

Hi everyone i have been thinking about doing a built thread for a long long time and i think the time has come! The model is as you already know a MX2 it has a 88inch wing span and will be powered by a MT57, specs as follows...

WING SPAN:88" (2235mm)LENGTH:81" (2060mm)WING AREA:1465sq in (94.5sq dm)FLYING WEIGHT:16-17.5lbs (7200-7700g)

Hi Jeff not yet mate they will be in early late November, they were still in production when the last container left. I did have a teaser come in though have a look at this, Yak55M

yeah I seen the teaser at your place, I liked it a lot. Good replacement for the Dolphinco Yak54 I have.

how about some more pics! man this plane is nice, I cant wait to see it fly. ailerons and elevators are pre-glued and done i only need to glue the Rudder in.

Thats right i forgot you'd seen one, well they sent me another one because i was getting impatient. They hadn't finished production when this one left.

Sure do Jeff, we have the 57" in the green and red scheme! haven't had a change to put one together yet they only arrived last week.

I gotta admit I am a sucker for the green colour scheme, I reckon I would have a power setup that would be ideal for that. Hmmmmmmn very Tempting. Can ya give us a hint of price.

Here are some pics of the internals. The are some supprises from the earlier 50cc models, the fuel tank is pre-plumbed and pre installed. There is a tube that runs down the fuse for the elevator servo leads to make things neat, the cowl is ringed and fitted internaly leaving the outside neat and free of screws.
The hardwear has also been upgraded with anerdized ali pressure plates see pics, also included are safety clips for the servo conections. And finaly the pull pull rudder wires have been installed you only need to crimp and set them at the servo.

hey wheels717 i have the goldwing extra 260 50cc and it flys sooo nice one of the best arf around

Cheers Mr 3D they are one of the best ARF planes around. Goldwing used to be called ARF Light and Fun, in Australia they are sold under the Dolphin banner like AXAR in Spain.

Well folks i managed to do a little bit of work on the new bird through the week. I assembled the undercarrige and also did some of the only glueing i will need to do! The Rudder, i just need to conect the pull pull ball linkage and thats complete.
