I am new to big gas engines and I would like to know what size firewall I should use on a 52cc 2 stroke, I am thinking 3 layers of 3mm. Does anyone know please?

I would say 12mm would be great,, that would be about 7/16's of firewall, I think that would be a plenty,

Yeah, 12mm is more than adequate. My Byron Pitts firewall is 3mm with a tapered doubler for the Byro-mount. I scratch built a 1/3 scale S2A and put a 3W 75 in it on 12mm without any problems.
