Long Island Flying Eagles-Wally Show

Well Today was a day of great sadness and joy, the sadness was due to the fact that our club(the long island flying eagles) was remembering one of our late Presidents, Wally Rodriguez, who passed away in a ultra-light crash many years ago. "The eagles club" has been having their memorial fun-fly ever since i can remember. But yet, today was a day of great joy and fun! Particularly because it was a "fly-in" and we had a SPECIAL GUEST from Massachussetts, Mr.Chane Spendlove aka Catman3070 here on Flyinggiants. When looking for a way to spice up this year's event, i remembered talking to chane back at the SNAP A HUCKFEST, and he said he was interested. Well he came down last night and came to fly with us this morning at the SUNKEN MEADOW STATE PARK, and was THE CROWD FAVORITE! From his BEASTLY GIANT COMPOSITE-ARF 3.3M YAK to his 3.1M Superxtra with smoke, Chane was rocking the crowd, one of the highlights of the day was Chane trying to get us all stoned..... out when putting his xtra into a hover and putting the smoke on, which gave out a nice "berry sent" which had the whole crowd was having a fun-time inhaling. LOL But in all-seriousness, CHANE IS THE BOMB! The way that guy did his Waterfalls THAT LOW to the ground was insane, i know I definately heard a few-oohs and ahh's from the crowd, but I would like to give out a BIG THANKS to CHANE! for having come out and joined us for this great memorial event, i know the members of the club are still excited and hyped up after having seen him. But to get to the rest, we had alot of "HUCKING" and "some" warbirds and glow planes, I'd like to thank a few FG members who i know were present and were helping out during the day: Flyflybob, 3dflyingking, da50, jimbo milligan, heligrom,livinma1,sc204, and myself. It was a great event and i am sure that MANY of us were having some fun! I know I had fun even after putting in my tribute-profile after messing around with alex davis with him chasing me around..... But next year i hope that more and more members who are on LI can make it! So thank you again! And livinma1 said he will post some pics.... Thanks-Andrew

Hey Andrew ---

Yeah even though I ran short on time trying to get a plane ready for this event I enjoyed myself just hanging out with you guys. It certainly was a treat watching Chane and Jimbo Milligan throw it down.. Andrew the gasps and ohhs were from your club announcers.. They thought Chane and Jimbo were going to touch. LOL.... That was certainly a treat for me since a lot of guys at my club definitely don't come that low and with my skills I am not tail touching yet. But anyhow enough of this chitter chatter. Here are some pics and I hope you guys enjoy. I am not pro with the camera but I tried.

Hey Guys -- The pics are a whole lot cleaner on my side. Seems like when I upload them to FG I loose some quality. If their is another way I should be posting them please let me know.

More to come. All my files are 8mb-10mb each and cropping also.

Very Cool....Sounds like you guys had a BLAST.Makes me homesick,i kinda miss Long Island You guys must of had a great time with Chane,he is always good for a killer 3D Smack Down.Sounds like we all had a Great weekend of flying and friendship,Our event down here TC3d went very well and the weather was perfect.

Oh Fellas that puddle of water was maybe 1/2 inch if that. Maybe less. You heard the rudder touch :-)

I sure enjoyed myself, especially meeting Chane, Jim, and Alex (13 yr old IMAC prodigy), oh, and of course that andrew character. Fun day with lots of fun stuff. Next year, we should ramp it up and bring some food and more shade (my left side is soooooo crispy).

Thanks chane for making my clothes smell of grape smoke!!

Hey Chris we missed ya man! Don't worry there is always next year. Hopefully we can drag more people down from MA next year or something. Chris, i didn't fly anything but my tribute, so i wasn't being impressive like at huckfest, lol. I'll see you at next year's huckfest or maybe at your club's event! VOODOO! Too bad you weren't up here in time for this event, this park is literally like in your parent's
back-yard, the exit to Bayshore is right off-of the exit to this event! So Voodoo it woulda been sick to have had you here! The guys up here WENT CRAZY with chane here, but if both you and chane were here, i fear people would be all over you guys! It was insane what Chane did with the water-falls a mere 20ft off the ground! And knowing how low you do rollers that woulda been sick to see. But let me know if you're coming up anytime soon. Maybe i'll see you at the Atlanta huckfest, my dad and i have been thinking about it for a while now....... we'll see. But if not see you in December!

Max, great meeting you too. LOL, thanks for letting me beat on your lil escapade for a few minutes, i saw you shaking a bit, so i decided you had enough of me doing rollers with your plane, remember "never say a plane can't do roller's!" LOL Take care buddy! I'll let you know if i wanna let my 30% yak go...as i saw you getting a bit "weak" around it as i remember you have a "weak-spot" for giants. But we'll see if not, then i'll at least let you fly it at the huckfest if you want to! Thanks again for coming!-Andrew

Considering I know you guys now I have someone to go and huck with. So once I get my Jeremy Chinn Yak back in the air I will come and hang out with you 2 young guys.. I am sure I can learn something :-)..
