F5, I believe the DLE55 has the same crankshaft diameter as the DA50, so the backplate should slide right on. You will need to drill the backplate for the prop bolt pattern. Although the spinners don't come precut, they are much easier to cut than aluminum spinners. Just line up your prop with the backplate, drill your bolt pattern into both, then mark and cut the spinner to fit the prop. I like to cut my spinners with a Dremel and router bit, then go over the cut by hand with some medium-fine sandpaper to smooth the cut. So far I've done three No Limitz spinners and the results have been excellent on all of them.

As long as the prop clearance is equal on both sides, you should have a balanced spinner. The fiberglass cone on these spinners is so light that it would be difficult to get it very far out of balance. I haven't balanced my No Limitz spinners and I have not had any vibration issues with them. The six perimeter bolts hold them on very tight; just be sure to use a small amount of locktite to hold the bolts in place.

Old thread, but figured it was a related question. Do you know how much one of the white fiberglass 3.5" NL spinners weighs?

Chad, that's the spinner I have on my PAU Sukhoi. I don't know its exact weight but it is very light - I doubt you could tell the difference between it and a carbon spinner. It shouldn't be more than a couple ounces.

A 4.5" size FG spinner is 4.2 to 4.4 oz, so a 3" I am guessing around 2.5 oz. They are very good and easy to cut out. I use a drop of silicon (clear) on the threads of the small screws and snug them up. You don't have to wait for them to dry and they have not come loose yet and still easy to screw out when needed (just clean the thread and add a drop to the threads before installing again).

Thanks guys. I'm not sure I'll be running a spinner on my Yak, but if I need some more nose weight I'd like to try one of these No Limitz spinners. They look really nice and I'd rather not deal with cutting aluminum or carbon fiber.
