Default OS 91 Surpass II on Hype 3D

I have Hype 3D and I was flying with 2 stroke 10cc engine and it was horrible, i couldn't do hover or anything. Friends told me to go for OS 91 Surpass II, and I bought it from my friend. Today I tried the plane and it's not going much better. I can do hoover, but ir doesn't have strength to pull it up. I have tried APC 12x6 and 12,25x3,75. Friend has the same plane with same engine and 14x4w prop and he said that he goes vertical with half power. I don't know what to do???

13X4W(u will have enough ground clearance with this prop then a14'' one) . I have the same model with a west 50t1and pipe very happy with it .Shame its now discontinued it was the best model in its class.what fuel are u using?.Hype 3d don't like to hover in 80 deg manner vertical only. You can move the cg to 190 mm the model becomes more alive

I owned a Hype 3D with an Irvine .53 on it, stock muffler, and it flew with very good authority. The best motor for it though is probably a YS .63.
thanks,
Jim

I tried vertical, and the model holds it, but i can't get out of it. I tried 13x4w 14x4w 12x6 12,5x5. I returned OS surpass 70 to my friend and I'll order saito 100 because it has 17cc and 550g, and OS surpas 70 had 560g.

I had similar engine on it.It was P.H. 10cc with 2HP and 380g and it didn't have a chance. I'll try with saito and post some videos. Thx guys for helping.

an OS-91 on a 15 x 4 or 15 x 6 will hover the Hype. I ran this combo for about 5 years. I just sold my hype its hovers will but it does struggle to t-roll unless i put in some aileron. The bird was strong on waterfalls and hovering in my opinion.

I'm using cool power 15%. If OS 91 surpass did it, then saito 100 will be perfect, because it's lighter and stronger.
