Dick Igaz???
Has anybody heard of Dick Igaz? I recently came across a 40% Pitts Monster Bipe that was built by him. I was wondering if anybody has any info about his work or him.

He was from Salinas, CA. He died a few years ago.
P.S. It's 37% and the engine is a 140, the "160" stamped into the case isn't the displacement.

Yea, it's not gonna 3D, it's a scale plane. I think Dick had a 100cc engine on it. I bought a 3W 120, but it was just a little too wide so a buddy in Vegas had that 140 and it would fit in the cowl without cutting the sides out. I told Freddy to get it rigged up and I'd maiden it for him, he was skeered!

well i sure might ask the same from you. I have googled and searched all over for specs and stuff for the motor. can you tell anything about it. the only 140 i see on there is the 2 cylinder...

Yeah, and your generator, and your hot German GF drinking us all under the table (OK, I made that last part up ),The 140 was just two 70 twins I think. I used to have a manual around here someplace, but I have spoken to Gerhard about that engine and he assures me it's a 140. And the parts engine I bought was bought as a 140, too, so that's what it is.

It's original, the jugs on the parts engine have been shaved on the crown and look different. I thought about replacing the jug with the busted fin, but never did.
AI has re-done their website, but here's a link to an old muffler page that has a listing for the 140 B4 http://www.aircraftinternational.com...pl_muffler.htm Is Freddy holding out the parts engine on ya? :=) Looks like 3W Germany still has some parts listed for the 140B4 http://www.3w-modellmotoren.com/prei...ergaser_en.php

There is a parts engine ??
 I knew I wouldnt get around to getting it going till next spring . I did run the engine and man is it smoooooth !!!!!!!!! I have the parts engine and he will get it this weekend .
