Default Winter flying / where to buy skis

Hi there!
I'm pretty new to flying anything bigger than your average .50-size electric planes, but have just finished a 50cc Aeroworks Yak54.
The problem is that last weekend the first snow arrived here i northern Norway, and it will probably only get worse!
Where can I buy some skis for a plane this size? I have no intentions on letting the bisd sit in the basement all winter!

Search model airplane news.com they had a article on building skis last year. I built a set for my 1/3 scale cub. They work great.

I have personally used these on the old 87" Extreme Flight Yak just under 16 pounds (7.3 k). I tried them in deep fresh powder snow and it was a total blast. The skiis will float on the snow once you get to a certain ground speed. It's the coolest thing I have experienced in RC. You can turn but you sort of have to stay on the sticks and fly it through the ground turns in the powder (aileron keeps the wings level). It's fun as HELL !!! I loved doing touch and goes. Just be careful as it wants to nose over with the drag on the skiis. I got used to it no problem. Also get a transmitter glove. I have one of these and they save your hands from freezing.

They're probably the best on the market. Amazingly light....not much more than wheels with pants. I could fly 3D and any other aerobatics just like normal. No re-trim needed.

I place a Weber grill on the flightline, by my feet and crank it on high while I fly. It helps. One question, what is the coldest temps you guys have flown with a composite plane? Been scratching my head about that one.
