Louu. Listen up, young blood.
You're actually making a case here that you may be the only "ignorant retard/moron on earth" (to borrow your own chosen vernacular). My post is the second post, so I will clarify for you what it's meaning is, okay? Continue reading... slowly, calmly. Assuming you are able to read and comprehend the same written english language which I was taught in school, then you should understand that when I say, "many people feel that the DL is a near copy of a DA", that that means that there are many people who have already discussed in these forums, sometimes quite heatedly, the lineage of the DA and the DL (and, in effect, the DLE as well), and found themselves in disagreement as to the originality, or merits, of the two brands. Nowhere do I state that I feel that way specifically. In fact, since you focus on that brand debate, rather than my post topic, as you attempt to insult me, I'll do a little analysis here and say that what I suspect most people found objectionable about DL invasion was the predatory marketing practices that the Chinese often employ outside their own borders, for instance: the strangely similar naming convention used (DA/DL), the similarity of configuration, along with the extremely low price (due of course factors such as world currency trading, Chinese trade protectionism, and worker compensation). To some it may have even appeared DL was "targeting" a smaller American privately owned business, DA. DL's sudden market onslaught almost smacked of a trade practice known as "dumping", which most Americans find, frankly, "un-American", and thus offensive. Lastly, you've got RC fliers that could care less about ethnocentrism, that simply paid hundreds of dollars more for their DA's and felt like they'd paid too much, therefore they must slam the actual, authorized DL brand for whatever reason they chose from the aforementioned. What I clearly said in my post above, was that I (me) got a copy, a fake, if you will, of the DL. engine. I paid for, was told I was getting, and did not receive a DL from the actual Chinese manufacturer DL. I got an unauthorized counterfeit from some other source in the orient. A POS, in effect Personally, and while this next point is irrelevant in terms of the purpose of this post, I'd much rather have had the DA50, if for no other reason than it's made by American citizens, in the US, and service would be a phone call away. It was a known quality item, like gold. I simply could not afford the DA option that at the time, and I simply don't like to carry frivolous credit debt for lack of control. Lastly, the actual purpose of my post, once again, was that it would be very useful to everyone if the fake DL's (and DLE's) were more easily identified by RC consumers. Face it, fake DL's don't even benefit the Chinese. Do you want a fake DL? I'll sell you mine. While you evidently lack the ability to spell beyond a second grade level, as evidenced by your numerous spelling and grammatical errors found in abundance throughout your various incendiary postings here, you still ought to be able to make sense of what you are reading, before flying off your barstool, fuming about something that you clearly have misunderstood. What is important to me (if your still with me here, buddy), is that people understand that whether they think that the DL/DLE is a copy (as "many do") of a DA, or not, they should be aware that they might actually be purchasing a "Fake of a Copy", unless they know what the real thing looks like. For example, if you bought a DA, and received a DL, you'd immediately know something was amiss. For more information on that topic, I would refer you to the TBM website, which is very informative (I have absolutely no connection with TBM, BTW). As to PilotNX211's motor, it sounds to me as if it may be a real DLE, if only because the serial number is stamped, and not etched with an electric scribing tool. Hard to tell without photos. Again, check the TBM site. I hope it's real, and runs like a monster, it's not fun to be ripped off, or misled by another RC guy, or insulted by a second grader. Cheers! For the record, "DL" happens to be the company owners first and last initials and the serial numbers are laser etched not stamped. It may be useful for some to see an example of the fake DL specimen, can you post some pictures of it?

Was there a similiar scenario with the DL 50 motors? I purchased a DL-50 and it does not have any numbers just a casting with DL 50 on the front and back of the cylinder head....I guess reguardless it runs flawless and will turn a Vess 22b over 7500 RPM,
just curious |
