Hello Everyone! This will be the start to my modest Katana build thread. The plane itself is schedule to arrive on Friday but the engine showed up today so I have started setting it up and cleaning it up prior to installation. This engine is serial #1102 my last one was 645 and the casting does appear to be cleaner with less voids than the earlier engine. And since there has been some minor problems with plugged carbs I torn my down to make sure nothing is clogged and that I don't run into any sealant problems... (No sealant was on the welsch plug.) ![]() So far so good! Next I will get the linkage on the arms started and set the gap on my NGK plugs! More soon, Ed |

I had better do a parts check! :-) I was in the midst of doing my yearly maintenance when the 111 arrived... Now I have two incomplete projects on the bench... (I think I will finish up my 1st project before my next picture session.) Ed |

Thanks guys!!!
The pictures just don't do it justice! It is really very nice, easily the nicest ARF I have ever had. The Aileron hatches are very well done and the custom scheme and matching paint are just awesome!!! The biggest surprise for me was the Carbon parts, I really didn't think they would be this nice. The spinner is as nice or better than even "Petes" spinners and the Landing gear are a work of Art! I will get some decent shots once I have a chance to get somethings organized! Ed |

The ballance point from Tony is 1-3 cm behind the tube but I think Byron is going to work with it and find the sweet spot here is the pictures of his maiden today.
