All right, Kiwi and I are here in Tucson, Arizona at the 2009 Tucson Aerobatic Shootout!
After a few delayed flights and some fun with rental cars, Kiwi and I finally made it to the field around 12 pm today. Not as early as we wanted, but just in time to catch round 2 of the invitational pilots fling the unknown sequence. All your favorite pilots are here, Mark Leseberg, Andrew Jesky, Chip Hyde, Gernot Bruckman, Ryan Archer, Jason Noll, John Glezellis, Frazier Briggs, Chris Brislin, Bill Hemple, Frank Noll and so many more. The pilots are already showing that they have put in the practice time, because everyone is looking good. Everyone's moods are high, and sportsmanship is the word of the day, with a few of the invitational pilots flying borrowed airplanes after losing there main birds to crashes during practice. We shoot as many pictures as we could, and managed to get a few videos as well. (The airline lost my tri-pod, so the videos today are a bit shaky, but a quick trip to Greg's Camera here in town fixed me right up with a real nice fluid head tri-pod, so tomorrow I will step the videos up!) Ok, without further ado, here are todays pictures, and I am currently working n the videos, which will be posted in the next few hours! Enjoy the pics, we will hit the field at 7am tomorrow for a full day of coverage! We will also try to get a Verizon signal and see if we can't update the scores through out the day.

Is Leseberg's Extra new or just recovered?
Looks like he's going with just two aileron servos. |

Good lord.. Glezellis is flying JR again? That guy switches brands more than most people switch their socks. I swear every other contest he's flip flopped to the other brand.
