Default X9303 died

I was programming new planes to my X9303 this weekend when I noticed something odd with the model memory. A bunch of the entries now said "1 Modulation". There was other garbage on the screen too. I tried resetting the memory but it did not change. After a couple of power cycles, the screen turned black then gone. It doesn't even turn on anymore. Horizon said I had to mail it in. I sent it out today ($16 later) and will see how good JR's service is. I found a couple of other people on the internet that had the same problem. Horizon service rep said he never heard of this problem.

That does it for me, been on the fence about buying the data transfer for my pc! I think spending $49 to back up my 9303 might be in order.

That software is mandatory. For just reasons like this or if you want to send your program to someone else or you simply dick up your current one you can always reset.

I never had it for my X9303 as one thinks "it won't happen to me" and it didn't with that radio. However the 12X comes with the data transfer and I did backup all my models to one of the computers. Seemed a bit silly since the 12X has a fifty model memory and I backup in the radio, but when my 12X had to make a trip to Horizon and they upgraded the software at my request, I was d*mn glad I had it.....

Horizon's service is second to none!! Im sure they will take care of you, make you breakfast, give you a massage, polish you shoes, press your suit, wash the car, etc. They really are awesome people over there.
