I will probrably pick up G5,,, I don't own a sim, I have taught myself in real life,, I am wondering if the G5 has the heli physics improved,, I flew the new Phoenix 2.5 the other day and the helis were great, but the planes don't fly quite as good as the realflight,, , I am looking a sim that has the best of both worlds,,

yep. I'm running windows 7 and 4.5 works fine so i wouldn't think G5 would have a problem with it either

I just bought one, it is more like a game, expect for the combat feature it is same than G4.5!

hell ya......crash all day long .........wont cost you a dime. Eventually you'll grow tired of crashing and then learn to fly a trainer using only three of the four inputs.

BTW welcome to FG. Ask a question if your not sure about something.

hmmmmm then I'll stick with my G4.5 and all the add-ons. Looks like this will be the future for RF from now on unless someone sees the light but then market forces can be strong reasons to keep on the gnarly track.

I learned to hover on G4.5 and can now do it on my 50cc AW Extra. (OK, I can pretty much hover everything I own from the little foamie on up.) Physics are better but not by much on G5. They made some of the crash stuff more realistic but not sure that's a big deal. I'm not into multiplayer nor combat and just wanted the best physics available. I'm not so sure they were 79.95 better but some may like it and it wasn't really all that much money so I guess I'm OK with it.

I've got the 4.5 and I use it on rainy days where I can't paddle my way to the field. I'm sure there are a bazillion adjustments to make to the software but who cares. I fly till I'm bored or the sun comes back out and then I head to the field. My operating system? Some kind if electric thingy inside a silver box with an HP7160 Media Center sticker on it. I gotta go rest now...... I've strained my brain with all this high tech talk.......
Happy Thanksgiving!

The changes to the physics are documented and if I get some time tonight I'll try to post the link.
