Thanks josh , I really appreciate all the help you have gave me. Yes I have crashed alot of the planes on the simulator. But i just push the reset button and a have a new plane. It really had to take a dedicated person to build a plane , which would take alot of work. Then take it out a crash it. Then build it again if it was a bad crash or repair it. Crash it again. They couldn't pactise on the simulator before they went out. So to all that has been in this that long. Thanks for keeping the hobby going.
thanks again

So, is there anyone out there that doesn't work for hobbico that can attest to G5 flying like a real RC plane? (i.e. snaps and spins)

Thanks

Just realised that with new nvidia driwers you can fly in stereo. Made few pictures for Red cayan stereo glasses:

50%plane - I am an instructor at our club of 200. G5 flys very similar to the field. Exactly the same no. I find that most sims land easier than at the field but are harder to fly visually.

Also, the setup of the G5 can be made to be more realistic. First set the sim to use expert mode. Then put in some small amounts of wind and turbulence. This makes for a very realistic experience.

BTW take the hype about the new Phoenix sim from Horizon with a big grain of salt. Remember how FSOne was going to be much better than RF. Well it was not and they never did make it into a good sim. Hobby Lobby has one that they claim is better than RF. Tried it at the AMA show and it has nice features but did not fly as well. I do appreciate the ability to put new planes into RF from the KE forum but it is costly to buy all the addition packs. I would have like to have seen them incorporated into G5. Although they do give you addon packs one to five.

Is the flying any different? 70 to 80 dollars does not seem bad for a upgrade. I think I am going to enjoy the combat mode. And I also notice when you crash it looks a lil more realistic.

I have a blast playing paintball with my son. :22a:It involves lots of yelling at each other and insults!
The money for the upgrade is a little hard to swallow but to me the graphics are improved over 4.5. I've never had any other simulator so I really can't compare the differences.

It's the same controller and to shoot stuff it is the dual rates and landing gear switch.
