Default 2009 TAS in the books.

Hey guys, sorry for the delayed response on this one, but I have a delayed flight in ATL on Monday that got me home really late, and a huge dentist appointment yesterday. When I finally got home from the dentist I was wrecked and literally blacked out.

ANYWAY... the 2009 Tucson Aerobatic Shootout is in the books. And man what a contest. The competitors took it all to another level again this year as did the event organizers. Most of the sequences flown were insanely difficult and were flown HUGE. Simply put, the 2009 TAS was again an amazing world class aerobatic event!

My hat is off to all the guys at Desert Aircraft, and well as every single member of the TIMPA modeling club. You guys were amazing. I have never been to a contest that was that smooth and timely.

To all the judges, wow what a difficult time you must have had judging this contest. With the level of flying that took place in every single class, I can only compare your task to trying to find a dropped contact lens in an Olympic swimming pool.

To all the competitors, you were all amazing. From the level of sportsmanship shown to the high level of flying displayed, you were all class acts and all winners.

To everyone I had the pleasure of speaking with at the TAS, you all seriously made my week. From the funny stories, to the compliments and even the distasteful jokes, to me that is what it is all about.

A big shout out and thanks to Kiwi for his help the entire week. The FG coverage would not have been as thorough without him. Kiwi flew several thousand miles to help out, and I appreciated that so much!

Ok guys, just under 360 days to the 2010 Tucson Aerobatic Shootout.
Who's going?

Great coverage Sleepy! I really enjoyed it and it just added to my desire to be at a TAS in person some day.

Yes a great event .Back home now in the UK and back to reality ! Was great to meet up with you guys across the pond again and to meet up with the Kiwi and Aussie gangs again .Bogan typifies the spirit of the Shootout and plenty of Corona and jokes going around.Looking forward to next years TAS allready .

Had a ton of fun. I'll be going next year but I will be in Advanced again - not moving up until I make the podium, dangit!
