I agree, I fly the super star shocky indoors, best plane out of all of them.
My set up is, axi 2204/54, 4amp jeti, 3-polks x-micro 4gram servos, 4ch.gws rec. tp pro lite 480ma. At a little over 5 1/4ozs. what an amazing flyer, love it... keep em hovering ! vinny |

I buy the 3 pack for dome season. The Superstar is the best one. The Edge does do a better tail flip , well, it looks cooler.
I usuually fly them with a 400xt from Hobby Lobby, 730 TP and Spektrum. But the 5 1/5 oz er is worth a try ...a bit more pricey (AXI) but At 5.5oz it must be amazing. Mine are around 8.5 4 gram servos , microstamp , itty bity motor and battery all add up to a better floater I quess. |

My final setup was hacker A2034 TP 2 cell 730 GWS pico servos BERG 4l receiver Definitely not even the lightest possible equipment, but it was inexpensive and easy to get/replace. |

flew my 8.3oz Superstar out in Chicago wind today, even a little heavy , outdoors it was helpful.
The 5.5 just has to be like a balloon indoors. Gotta try it. |

I know its not a shock flyer but i am modifiying a E-flite 260 which should be flying by this weekend the stock 260 was ok (8.48 oz) but it can always be lighter.
Check the thread E-flite 260 my build is at the end of the thread |

We designed our SLICKs specifically for ultra-light 3D on CD-ROM power. They're lighter, sturdier, and faster-building than the shockies. You can also color them uniquely... sharpies for quick... Krylon "Short Cuts" and stencils for nice

hey guys, just read all the way through this thread. I've just recently finished construction on
a (sssshhhh.......its a shocky yak COPY.... ). I havent bought any of the electronics yet, (waitingon tax return check) But i've calculated 4.2oz before the battery. Thats with mostly all e-flite stuff... 300 outrunner, 10-amp pro esc, 3 S60's, and the new spektrum AR6100 reciever. should be alot of fun! heres a few pics of the mostly finished airframe... i would post a link to my build thread, but i dont know how! (i'm not very computer smart) |
