Bad-ass Super Contributer!

Guys,
I just picked this up from my good friend Marco Benincasa's Italian Monthly RC Magazine, Modellistica. Seriously one of the best RC magazines I have access to as it deals with down right average Joe events and clubs through Europe. Anyway I found this photo in one of the event coverages and man it made me feel sick in the guts. Being one of the lucky ones to see this thing in action live at the Joe Nall two years back I just had one of those pains in the pit of your gut if you know what I mean. They say they had some kind of radio problem so likely we will never know but I sure as heck wish them all the best of luck in getting that back to flying condition. I mean it just does not come any more realistic than this thing flying. Good luck getting her back together guys. |

Damn, that really sucks. At least it's repairable, or looks like it.

It will fly!!!

It makes me sick just looking at it. That plane was the most scale plane I have ever seen. The workmanship was top notch.

I remember all of the excitement when he brought that plane to the Nall. Wrecking it would definitely ruin my day. Hope they can get it back together okay.

Man, I followed that build. That plane was pretty much built like a real Beaver from the DeHavilland factory. Such an awesome build. The best part was the fact that they actually had the balls to fly it. A fellow I know, whom some of you know or at least know about, Bill Hinant. He built a quarter scale P38 Lightning. He built it from plans of the real thing, as he was an engineer at Lockheed. The plane looks REAL. Only thing is, its too heavy. So it sits in his livingroom as a piece of art. The Beaver on the other hand, WOW!!!

I was lucky and got to see this airplane at the Nall. Absolutly incredible, a shame it was damaged.

It flew very nicely at Joe Nall, in the few days before the Joe Nall actually openned. You know people get there early, glad I did cause I saw this beast fly so scale like. All metal, plane scale down to number of rivits in its construction.

THAT SUCKS! But it looks re-buildable. Hopefully! I remember reading about that thing in the FLYRC magazine. IT was AWESOME! But i am willing to bet that the guys will probably re-build it with more new and exciting gadgets.
