Krill Katana 33% Question???
I am building a Krill Katana 33% as an electric. Powered with a Hacker 100-8 with a three blade 24/12 prop. Power is 6650 watts = 8.8 HP on test stand. Problem is plane is coming in way above the 27.5 lbs advertised with a DA-100.
I am using 4 each Hyperion 6500 35C 6-cell batteries for the motor and 2 each 4200 35c 2-cell batteries for the radio and servos. The total battery weight in just north of 10 lbs and the finished weight of the plane is coming in at 34 lbs. If I remove two of the 6500's for shorter flight times I come in at 29.5 lbs. The planes power is coming in at 195 watts per pound at 34 pounds and 225 watts per pound at 29.5 pounds. How should I expect this plane to perform at 34 pounds ????
