Before you go and break it up. Go over the model one more time checking all the measurements and straightness of the structure ...If your not sure how to check this or that ask.
Sounds to me like somethings out of alignment and should easily be located carrying out the right checks

No model should need 1" of right rudder trim to fly straight. Something must not be straight somewhere in the build, like Mode 1 said.

Check incidences of wings, check stab alignment with the wings, check wing alignment with the fuse, and check your incidence of your vertical fin as well. You shouldn't need that much right rudder trim, even without right thrust at all.

Earlier I mentioned about a model on FG that had a bad fin alignment which would most certainly put the rudder out of whack.
And here are two pics of it. Yours may be fine but something else may be wrong.
