Default Cowl Baflle

Hi, I'm builting an aeroworks extra 260 100cc DA. Do I realy need to put the cowl Baflle?

I would put at least some baffling in, even if it were just a plate to the cylinder heads at the bottom of the front cowl opening, and also a good low pressure lip on the extraction point.

its like wearing a seat belt while driving. You don't have to but in the long run it may be a good idea.

Personally I would put in some type of ducting, it is a way of protecting your investment.

On mine I used the factory supplied bottom piece, and added sides and a top piece as well. All the airflow coming into that opening is hitting the cylinder and being forced through the fins. Call it piece of mind!

Your engine will run some 35+ degrees cooler with four sided cooling baffles.
