Dont know much about it but from the way I have seen them fly they perform really well. Not a big fan of the Yaks but from what I have seen they fly everything pretty well. But, never fail, its a Carden it will fly perfectly.

Dan Baker has one and I think he really likes it. I'm sure he'll be on here letting you know about it once he sees this thread.

Craig: I own a Carden 37.5% Yak. Mine flys wonderful, will do any 3D manuever that one can think of, and flys pattern manuevers wonderful also. Like Rick, unlimited class pilot also. Keep your plane light as you build it, and it will do even better.

I saw Papa Joe Stek fly his at the Gardner, MA, snap a huckfest and that thing was doing anything he threw at it! I WAS IMPRESSED! Btw, if you know how great Papa Joe's planes look then you also know that they fly just as great! He is a true master craftsmen with his cardens! I say go for it. Hopefully he'll stop in and comment on this thread! Good luck!

Thank you for the kind words. Craig77, Yes I would tell you to get one. Mine flew awesome. I just sold it, but I am presently finishing up another because I liked the first one so much. Keep it around 36-38 lbs and you will have a great plane. Mine did the most vertical Elevator drop and recovers with just a few clicks of throttle into what ever you want to transition into. There was nothing it would no do and was only limited by me. You want the balance point to be at the back side of the wing tube. You would not be unhappy. Blue one I flew for 3 yrs and the red one is my new one.

craig77,
Well heck..... Being an owner of Carden Planes already, you know how they fly. Don't worry, the Yak will be just as good. By the way, Nice looking bird you have there. ![]()

That is hard for me to answer right now. I had flown my Yak for 3 years and got it dialed it to where it works. That is why I suggested the CG to you. When I first started the Yak, Dennis had the CG too far forward compared to where he has it now.
I am in the process of working with a Carden 300 both 40 and 43%. They fly precision awesome, but I have not had enough time to work out the CG for 3d and my type of precision flying. Believe me, the Yak is a solid flyer in both types of flying.

Here is a couple of pic of mine. Wouldn't trade this plane for any other plane. It really does make me look better than I am. It is very stable and will do anyhing that I throw at it.
I bought this plane after it had a slight mishap. I completely recovered it and am planning on trying to build another one next year.
