Trust me I wish I had a DA100. The 3W runs strong and this one has never failed, but the weight is a lot more than a DA100. This 3w is one of the older ones. Has a ton of power though.

LOL, you can't catch a break can you Kevin!

Hey, looking at the canister tunnel you can tell being a Yak and all that the tunnel is taller in the middle than at the sides. So fitting a bigger diameter single canister say for a DA85 should be no problem should it? How big a diameter can do you think would fit?

I just received my YAK and am going to use cannisters with a DA100 on mine.
How much of the covering did you have to remove from the bottom of the airplane to
get the exhaust heat out of the tunnel? Could you show a picture of the bottom of the airplane?
Did you have to do anything inside the plane for sealing the heat out of the radio compartment?
I would appreciate any information.

Thanks in advance.

I have a 3W100B2, just like yours, but it is in another plane. Lots of power!!

Ill see if I can find a photo of the bottom. I am away from the house now for the weekend. I believe I cut three or four holes in the front then two going down the canisters. Also I didnt do any sealing. Plane is already sealed very well.

I just got a DA120 for mine and I am waiting for the headers to come in. I am using same canisters. I am going to have to space the DA out a little bit. I am not sure how the DA100 is. But look out for that. Also remember the more your engine is spaced out the better performance you will get. Also try to keep the canopy out of direct sunlight and if I were you I would put something under the canopy from keeping it bowing on you.

If you have any questions please let me know on here or shoot me a pm. I have a thread going on the Repair Forum about the DA120 on this bird.
