Default JR 9xII programming help

Hi folks
I feel almost embarrassed asking this simple question but haven't done it for a while and manual seems very unclear to me.
Ok, I want to mix aux2 channel to my aileron. I have done it no probs but when I test trim, it only does aileron not aux2. I tried to mate it but it doesn't want to allow me to do that. What am I doing wrong?
I was trying to set differential but it only worked on one wing so I figured, this is not going to work unless those two channels are mated somehow.

From memory when you mix the two chanels together the trim needs to be
set to commmon , this is done in the mixing screen .

Its been a while since i set one up from scratch , I mostly copy an old file
and then adjust things fron there .

If the 9xII is the same as the X9303, you are right in that the aileron trim is not carried through to the mixed channel. You do have to use the mate in the Wing TYPE menu for the ACRO configuration. In GLID configuration if you use the AIL+ the trim is carried through.

Yeah, thanks guys for inputs. It seems like when I choose normal wing type, I can mate it but the option for differential disappears. If on the other hand I choose flapperon wing type I can't mate it but I can have option for differential. It's kinda confusing. So how on earth you do it?

Assuming again that the 9XII programs the same as the 9303, I wonder if you are mating channels through a program mix. If you are, don't do it that way. To mate stick channels you should either use the Dual/Mate portion of the Wing TYPE menu or use the wing type. It is only through the Wing TYPE Dual/Mate that you can carry the aileron, elevator and rudder trims through to the mated channel. Program mixes will only do it for the throttle. For ailerons, the flaperon wing type is the same as Dual/Mating the aileron channel. Before you can use the Dual/Mate, you must free up some channels by INH their outputs in the DeviceSEL menu. By either Dual/Mate the aileron channel or using the Flaperon wing type, the differential menu will appear.

If you select flaperon you need to plug the aileron servos into Aileron and Aux 1 (flap). This will give you the differential and carry the aileron trim to both channels.

If you are dead set on using Aux2 then it must be done as discribed in the above post.

Thanks heaps guys, it's all clear now. I had my elevator mixes done via aux1, so all I had to do is use aux1 mix for ailerons and aux2 for elevators. All sweet now. I better remember it.
