Harv, I am planning on running a carbon spinner, wing tube and stab tube to get as much weight out of the plane as I can. I also have the carbon landing gear for it as well.
Dad and I will get lots of pics of how we mounted the pipes. The mounts just arrived today so that is the next part we will be working on. Shogunmst, I am glad I was able to help you decide to mount the rudder servos in the tail, we made a mount as you can see for each side then backed it up with 1/4x1/4 hard wood inside the tail to give the servos something to bite into.

Dan,
The airplane looks nice. Maybe you can alternate the washers on the cowl between the red and blue which I just sent. |

just a quick note with the tail servos in the tail, John this mod in the beginning of the year in his XFC plane and it came out tail heavy needing weight up in the nose to cg it on the wing tube. make sure you mount batteries up front your going to need it with your setup the 1090 pipes and tail servos in the back.

OK guys, here are some of the pics of the pipes being installed. It is still not finallized yet but take a look. I will be using the Secraft mounts to hold the pipes securly in place in the plane.

On my 35% i used the AW Helmet head, I had to add extra bracing in under the canopy to have it in the back, in the front i think it looks bad, so i added just a lil bracing to have the pilot head where i thought it looked best.
Thanks Kyle |

Just a question are you going to enclose the end of the pipes in a light balsa tunnel or leave them exposed inside the airframe

Hi Dino69
I do plan to build some kind of tunnel to force the air over the pipes and out the bottom. Hi Gapple12 The rudder servos will be it the tail so there should be no issues there thanks Richard Dan's Dad |
