Hi Guys

The motor box is all plywood covered with Vinyl diamond plate.

All the Vinyl I use is from Alan Mostek at preventerwind@msn.com

If you check out this link http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_9104613/mpage_4/key_/tm.htm
You can see some of the other vinyl work that is has done for Dan and I.

Did you build any sides or back end for the pipe tunnel or is the frame work and covering on top of the rear part of the pipe as far as you went.

Hi Bill

The fuselage sides and bottom form the tunnel sides and bottom. Just behind the pipes I covered that back bulkhead to make the back of the pipe tunnel. Then I made 2 hatches that covered the bottom half of the fuselage to form the pipe tunnel. I have found this method to be very light. I have done this in several other big planes and found this to work well

Engine and pipes are now mounted. I use tie wire to make sure the pipes do not slip back.

Dan,

I think the Tygon will melt (ask me how I know?). You might want to use silicon instead.

What is it you are using for exhaust extensions on the cannisters. I like the tie wire retainers for the cans, neat.

bgold, we used teflon tube. It is what we used to have as header couplers on my old glow pattern planes.

Making and fitting the duct work to keep the motor cool. I start with a piece of foam fit it than cut the piece of ply from the foam template
