Default Throttle Connection

It seem this year I am having all sorts of problems with my throttle connector coming off at the servo. I am useing dubro kwik-grip e/z connectors and the keep coming off the servo. What do some of you flyers use for your connector at the servo?

E-Z connectors will work.

Some potential problem areas...

cable not in line with servo
re-using plastic back
not setting the end points (or total travel) of the servo.

All three of these things can cause a failure.
Having said that, there are many better ways to connect the throttle arm to the servo arm, but they can all fail if the relationship of the linkage is not correct.
overtravel of the servo is probably the biggest cause of failure I've ever seen.

Several of the IMAc guys use SWB double lock servo arms at the servo. Ball links are used at both ends and held on by nylon insert lock nuts.

Getting the servo/thottle arm geometry is time consuming to get it correct but it is well worth the time spent. Your TX probably has end point adjustments of some kind. These should not be more that 5% different to keep the geometry correct. it is lots of trial and error, take your time and get-er-done.

Having said that, U can always use a Throttle curves to make Ur throttle control Good.
I.e half throttle Is half throttle and not full throttle, i have flown many planes and alot of guys dont bother with it and when ur 1/4throttle, U could be more than half on the carby just my 2c.
get it close then use a throttle curve

Use ball links at both ends and bolt them in place. Don't use a cheap throttle servo or some old piece of crap you have laying around. What ever you are using on your flight surfaces is good enough for the throttle also.

Ball links, loctite, and RTV are involved in all my throttle servo/linkage installs.
