Default New Fancy Foam MX2 !!!

Hi Folks,
Since no one posted this yet and since I scooped one up last night right as it became available I figure why not start a thread for it.

http://stores.homestead.com/fancyfoa...h-2/Detail.bok

Video
http://flightpass.higherplaneproduct...udio-H264s.mov

This is gonna be a fun plane for sure, and it looks different to the old yak55 ( big plus). On top of that RJ Gritter designed it, and Seth Arnold won at ETOC with it, so it has to be good. Mine is now on the way and I will post photos and video once I have it flying. Let this be the place to post about it. Thanks again Seth and RJ for the help deciding what gear to get for it. you guys are great keep up the great work and flying.

Mike

Thanks for the thread Mike!

Mike at Fancy Foam is cutting a whole ton of MX2 kits as we speak, but some are still in stock on the website.

Any questions anybody, just ask!

i ordered one last night, cant wait to crash, umm i mean, fly it. should be pretty exciting. theres not many full scale planes that i really like the paint job on but ive always been crazy about this one.
fancy foam was out of motors and props so i ordered the motor today from 3dx hobbies http://stores.3dxhobbies.com/-strse-...AHacker+Motors they have em for $38 but they dident have the props either. my lhs cant get gws props but i did have them order me up some jr185's yestadey for the rud and elev, i wasent shure if i shoulda got 188's but the specks in the book were the same so i cheaped out. i have a jr285 imm gluen in the middle. where can i get some props???
i was hanging out with dave lockheart the other day and was getting some tips on building light. he was also saying on some planes he likes to use that of UHU POR Glue because its flexible. what do you guys think about using that stuff on this plane? i do have a brand new tube of that ultimate rc foam glue, i guess its kind of the same thing, flexible and all. i usually use mercuary ca.

I always use BSI Odorless Thin CA on my planes. Haven't tried the UHU stuff but the BSI Thin works great for me.

As far as props, I usually get them through my LHS, but Tower Hobbies does have them.

Good luck, let us know how it goes!

I use Thin BSI Foam Safe.

I hate working with the UHU stuff.

Sweet! may just have to get one for later this winter. another note for building light , or more for ease use one of these for the glue kicker https://www.a2zcorp.us/store/Product...ProductID=4529

instead of spraying the entire plane down with kicker for a tiny bead of ca your aiming at.. small metal tiped drop bottles work good too. I have the super gold ca thin. worked good in the past and no smell..
