oh question, any one using the castle thunderbird 9 ecs, does it kill the motor when the bec goes off, or does it pulse.. reason i ask is a guy i fly with had his foamy just fall out of the air during a hover when the bec kicked... my guess in no hovering after the 2 minit mark?? last thing i wanna do is snapotailoff..

i always fly outside, but the wheelpants IMO just mame them look that much better. I just hover catch it to land anyway, never use them as a actual landing gear. Didnt put any of the metal rod like the instructions say to.

I would recommend putting the pants on. Helps with coupling.

I believe they just cut off, but you can normally tell when the battery is low, by how much power you have. Don't fly it until you're full throttle hovering, once you see it takes more than normal, catch it or land it.

Any chance of a build thread highlighting the mamo vpp install on this plane?

BEC's don't cut out if the battery goes too low for the motor to run.........

But if the BEC kicks out, then pretty much the plane will be scrap foam!!

I've hovered my CC Kestrel with the CC 9A T-Bird ESC for a FULL FLIGHT, with no issues/problems.

Hehe. I'm currently working on an article (not for FG though)

RJ is supposed to take a pic of whats left of the airframe tomorrow for me. They pulled all the equipment while I was in the hospital, so theres no equipment, but all the parts layed out on the table. LOL

Yeah, no one really said lookout, just kinda a "ahhhhhhhhhhhhh" thing, so I had no idea where it was. Looked up, and it was right above me. Nothing I could to by then.

Thanks though!

How are you guys attaching the Radical RC control arm? I know the arm lays on top of the stock servo arm and the holes align. Are you guys just putting 2 small screws on each side to hold it on? I didn't know if that would be the best way to doing it.
