They have been going pretty fast! It shouldn't be too long before Mike gets some more cut though...

I'm installing the servos (S3154s) in the MX-2 and wondering what's the correct distance out on the servo arm for elevator and rudder. I believe I read to use the longest servo arm for ailerons and use the outside hole, right?
Thanks, Don C

Well that depends. If you mean the servo arms included with the 3154's, then use the longest arms and the outside holes for everything. I usually use a different horn for my ailerons and that's a little different, but I think you mean the stock arms, right?
Also, use the furthest out holes on the control horns too. I see a lot of people trying to use the lower holes and all this does is add slop and decrease both torque and resolution. The linkages should work out well with everything in the control horns' outer holes.

That's just what I was looking for.
BTW, I'm now planning on using the F3P Biased Servo Horn (from Radical R/C) for the Aileron servo arm. Thanks again.... Don C

I've been looking for the prop saver (small) rubber bands (orthodonic) at drug stores and Walmart with no success. Anyone know where I can find them?
Thanks, Don C

If you can't find them, just use the small O-ring that comes with the motor and it should work fine. I got my orthodontic rubber bands from my orthodontist, so I'm not sure where to look when they run out. I have to imagine they can be found somewhere, especially online, but I haven't looked...

Thanks guys....
Anyone have photos of the bottom side of their MX-2? I'm looking for some ideas on the mounting locations and wire routing the for the /ESC/Lipo/RX/Servos. Don C

The green thing is the battery. Cut a slot in front of the aileron servo for it to slide into and mount in the center. ESC is right behind the motor as shown, and the RX is in a convenient location under the wing. RJ

heres mine. on the next one i will probably move the ESC and Rx as close to the front as possible, both MX-2's that i have built have seemed to have been a bit tail heavy.
