DUDE! its a blast, compared to the yak55 I was flying with the mx2 for sure out rolls ,, lay on thorttle and itll spin haha.. Im just mad at myself for not getting any video or photos.. im normally the photo guy and since I have been flying I can get the shots I want haha.. I do know I need more batteries! 3 runs out fast.. wednesday night was funny me and dr10044 (flying yak 55) decided it would be fun to hover side by side. so we did, and cordinated a few circles in this tiny gym. and then we impacted just enought to chip foam,,, I dont know how but I kept flying.. I need to put a flycam 2 on this thing.. on a serious note I am thinking of getting a bigger mah battery,, any suggestions to a limit before wieght hurts the way it flys?

i use Rhino 460 2s packs. getting about 7 minutes of flying out of them. and at 5 bucks a battery i have somewhere around 15 of them at the moment and a poly charge 4 and hobbico dual lipo charger to be charging 6 at a time. i usually never run out of batts.

I have an older Thunder Power 2c 730mah battery I fly with. I can tell a slight difference between the 730 and the 350's. It still handles the extra weight just fine and can do knife edge figure 8's/loops in a small church gym over tables with room to spare. I do like the 8 3/4 minute flight times but still prefer the 350's. After 2 repairs my airframe weight with the TP 350 is 5.8oz but I have not checked the weight with the 730 onboard yet.

Cool, glad you guys are enjoying them even with bigger batteries. A few of our VPP MX2's are 5.8 to 6.1 oz and they do still fly very well. Not quite as floaty, but still a pretty light feeling and good maneuverability.

Once I get mine, I have some TP 480's for it, and possibly some Looong-go 500's..... They are 20C, FWIW........

Using the Electrifly Polycharge 4, Original Triton, and a Hobbico Quick Field Charger MKII so I can charge 7 batteries at a time when needed. I am looking for a multi-battery balance charger since using the discharge balancers is getting kind of stale. Considering this from Hobby King: http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbycity/s..._Multi_Charger

I just received two MX2 kits last week and will start building one soon. Still need to order servos though. I'm really looking forward to it. |
