I wouldn't risk it. The VPP servo tends to take some punishment and needs a pretty stout geartrain. I use 3114's or 3154's for the pitch servo too. The other important thing is that the pitch servo should be fast, which the Dymond definitely is not.

Just wanted to make sure the angle on the Spade looks correct as I'm about to glue them.

Yep! They should have a slight amount of "positive incidence" if you will.

Hey Ward,

I meant to mention, I'm using the new Futaba R6106HF receiver. Another option is the R616FFM, but to use this you would need to buy all your servos with the micro connectors. The 6106HF is essentially the same weight with the case removed.

Fancy Foam MX2 (SWEET!) , Hacker A20-34s, Mamo VPP, Castle Phoenix 10, ThunderPower 2s 45C 325mah, Futaba s3114 Airleron, Spektrum DSP 60j all other surfaces. Amp meter puts peak at around 8A. !!!!! PROBLEM!!!! If you do not mind, can you tell me the settings on the Pheonix ESC. Are you using the card or radio to set it? Thanks for any info. Joe Metal

Ok question.... It may just be me, but why is 8amp peak a problem if you are running a 10amp esc?

Also, are you running the 8inch blades or 9 inch?

Ohh, and another thing. Remember the amount of pitch you are using will also vary your amp load. More pitch, More load.

Hey Joe,

It was nice to meet you, we sure had fun hanging out up there!

That setup looks great all around. What specifically is the issue you're having? I've never amp-checked mine but I would be surprised if it didnt pull at least or more than 8 amps. I actually don't do any special programming, the keys are to make sure it's set for soft cutoff and it might also help to set the current limiting one notch less sensitive than normal. This can all be done through the radio.

Let me know if you have any specific issues or questions.
