I just cruised thru it........... It is VERY similar to the AJ, and others on the FF site.....
Guess when I get the MX2, I'll have to watch things closely............ And most importantly, get things where I want them from the get go!!!

True there......... But they don't have a THIN viscosity FOAM SAFE glue......... Unless it is posted elsewhere on the site......

Chris, what do you feel isn't clear enough? I thought they explained the assembly pretty well, but if there is something that needs more attention, please let me know and I can both clarify it here and update the instructions...

It felt to me(of course, could just be me) like the pushrod installation lacked clarification........ Read over PushRod Install, if you'd like....... I'm not saying in any way, shape or form that the directions are incorrect. People have their own way of doing things. Aileron push rods are no big deal.

Like on the Z-Bends with the pushrods...... The AJ has you glue all the control horns in first, and then build the push rods... OK, no biggie!!! But when you go to build the push rod, I like to have it all in hand, and shrink over the music wire, and then install the pushrod.... By having to fish the push rod thru carbon, like I had to on my elevator on my AJ. It makes it OVERLY hard to install the Z-Bend on the control horn. I broke 1 push rod trying a different method of install..... Got a little frustrated, and pulled the control horn out, with glue on, and made a new push rod, and fed it thru, and then glued in the control horn.

I can post a pic of each the rudder and elevator if that will help clear any mud up, RJ.....

Here's a couple of pix..... Right side has all the carbon reinforcement, and ironically, is the elevator push rod side!! AHHHHHHHHHH!!! HEHEHEHE!!!!

Kinda see why I would want to use those little Du-Bro clips.......

Also notice that the heat shrink isn't shrunk on the elevator end, and there is NONE on the Rudder.

AHH okay, now I understand the issue there. Yeah, that can be a litte difficult. I think when I built my Osiris with pushrods, I put one Z-bend on the pushrod an put it in the control horn before I glued it in, but that was before instructions even existed for that plane! It was also in a hotel room at about 2am, so I'm not sure what I did...

Good news is that on the MX-2, the pushrods are all on top of the fuse so that isn't a problem!

i stole this from rc groups

Cut Carbon rods to length for both ailerons.
Make 4 Z-Bends, total length of the piece after the Z-bend about 1" long
Cut some heat shrink so that it will slide over the carbon and the Z-bend rod.
Slide the heat shrink over the carbon rod, then over the Z-bend rod, making sure the Z-bend is just off the edge of the carbon (on both sides of the carbon rod).
Shrink the heat shrink.
Pull 1 Z-bend rod out of 1 side of each carbon rod.
Insert 1 Z-bend into your servo arm, and one into the control horn.
Turn on the transmitter/airplane
Center your aileron servo
Slide the Z-bend that was removed from the heat shrink, back into the heat shrink where it was originally.
The heat shrink does not hold the carbon rod/Z-bends steady, you have to glue them, so shorten/lengthen the rod as needed.
Glue over each side of the carbon rod where the Z-bends attach.
Voila, perfectly centered ailerons.

Like I said, everyone has their own way on building push rods.... My way will not work with the carbon rod reinforcement on the underside of the fuse........ In which the method that Seth uses would work.

i like z bend at the surface and ill put the tiny lock skrew things at the servo end, this way no play. heck if i had enough i would put those on both sides. mx2 instructions plenty easy to understand. no progress today either... had to soak up every bit of clear blue sky today flying the gasser. ill work on it after work this week. now that i have all the parts it wont take long. Oh and yes the tower hobby fligth power 2cell charge jack adaptors fit the tp 350s, for those not using tp charger. headsuprc.com also has it labeled for the tp port.
