Here's the turnigy that would be good for almost all the FF planes:

http://hobbycity.com/hobbycity/store...idproduct=6547

And for 10 bucks they work pretty well. Dad and I are runnning this motor on a foamies that are around the 5 oz mark and this motor pulls it around just fine. Using 2 cell TP480's and 2 cell Rhino 360's and 460's

now that were on motors i have a few ? about these hackers.
1. why do they come with 2 fibreglass mounts?
2. do you guys use the o-rings that come with them for the prop? how many?
3. do you put the gws props straight on the motor or do you drill it out to use one of the adapters?
4. do you guys use the blendurim that comes with the plane, to tape it on the plane?
thanks again guys. i mighnt get started tonight imm fellin a lot better.

1. Incase you break one.
2. Just 1 o-ring to keep the prop on. It is a prop saver. Put the o-ring on a stud, set the prop on, and then pull the o-ring over the top of the prop (between the blades), and to the other stud.
3. I typically don't use a prop adapter....
4. Sure, why not..........

2. yes 1 per
3. have done it both ways(thats what she said) didnt see much of a difference either way
4. tape it to the plane

there is a slight difference b/w the Hacker and the Turnigy. The Hacker seems to have a bit more top end power/torque for pulling out of hovers and such whereas the Turnigy seems to have a smooth transition all the way through, but still has plenty of power to pull out of hovers

8" most likely. Depends on your weight, battery, and setup...

Just to answer for the millionth time...

2. No, I use orthodontic rubber bands. If you use O-rings, make sure you use the small one.
3. Slow-fly props do not and can not use the adapter.
4. Yes, or use fiber-reinforced tape.

RJ

Thanks RJ....

Bren has Seths MX2 he flew at ETOC last year, going to set it back up the same way with the VPP. All I know is Bren said to get the Hacker A20-34S, Dymond D47 and Futaba 3154. He has the Castle Creations Phonix 10 ESC. Will get whatever batt it takes for the VPP.

Was going to order the VPP but wanted to also order spare props with it so thats why I was asking since I didnt see it mentioned anywhere. Thought maybe you would know, I think Seth is at work and Bren is at school so I cant ask either one of them right now : /

Seth used the 8" blades on his setup, but he also used a 3S battery. You might just want to try each size blade and see what works best.

Sorry I couldn't answer your call, I'm in class...
