That 62cc would have been great when I was building my Ziroli Stuka. Everyone sticks a G-62 in them (like I did) but the carb sticks out the side.

Yeah I see the rear carb on this one as a big plus for getting inside of the cowl and performance. The thing that amazed me about this engine most was how vibration free it was. If you didn't see the prop turning on this thing you'd swear it was shut off. Also the $340.00 price tag makes it perfect for the guy with a lot of large scale warbirds. You don't have to break the bank or swap engines out with every build.

Thanks Jody, now I know where to come when I strip out a plug. LOL

RPM
idle: 1980
peak: 5690

wish I could have measured the thrust... just insane!

You may need to re-tune it a bit for that prop as I got numbers well above those. I agree about the insane thrust though. I've never had an engine and prop blow my clothes around the way that thing did on my test stand.

honestly, I'm starting to wonder about the tach itself.... it's old,
and I borrowed it from a freind.... I think it's a hanger 9.....

it truely sounded higher than what it read... but I'll post the actuall
that the tach said....

I'll play with it more later on, and do another post....
I'm thinking about getting one of those plug in tachs
from Ron @ southeast... those are too snazzy!

all I can say is the wind chill behind it was c,c,c,cold and it was
still in the 50's here yet today.....

I don't sell engines. I just test them for Ron Nesler at www.southeastrcengines.com . Ron sells the DLE line, three of the RCGFs 20, 50, and 62, and the CRRC 40 and 26. I may be testing a new engine line that he may also carry if it proves to be up to the high standards set by Ron. We test a lot but he only sells the ones that are a good value and have good quality. His goal is to bring quality engines to the hobby at a cost people can afford. I think if you compare his prices you'll agree he is doing his best to do just that.

Sorry Capt'n, but you seem to be a bit confused, we don't sell the RCGF line of engines. I commented on a spark plug thread size adapter.

Well it looks like I'll finally get to install the RCGF 62 in my Extra. More to follow.

Looks as though I may be able to get rid of more dead weight then I thought at first as the RCGF has a longer stand-off, .300", then the DL-50 in it now. I'll measure the CG before and after I install the engine and let you know how much I was able to toss.
