After reading on here for a while that is what seems to be the simplest and most efficient way.
I went that route on mine. With the Wolverine switch you're load balanced so 2 1100 a123's will have the same capacity as 1 2200 a123 at the expense of current capacity. On top of all that its redundant so you end up with a very safe and light system that provides plenty of current for a 30% plane.

1100mah A123: 95g x 2 = 190g/33A cont.
Wolverine: 17grams
Total: 207g.

2200mah A123: 190g/66A cont.
