Seen that video a while back. I seems like no one wants to take the plunge with this engine... which is understandable.

They got that bad boy strapped to an old mining cart or something?

With my experience with DLE-55's and 111's, I wouldn't hesitate to grab one of these - assuming I had a very large plane to put it in. I'll have to work on that.

I have the feeling that those able to afford an aircraft that requires a 200cc twin can also afford the known quality higher end engines. Until there is some history with this engine people going that large will stay with known quality and dependability. Too much invested in an airframe to risk dead sticks and a blown motor to a product with no track record. I know I wouldn't do it. For me it would be better and cheaper to let others do the "field testing".

I looked on the TBM website and could not find it so i would say i dont know but probably not. Tower might have them if they are bunking with DLE now. I was more or less curious to see how cheap the price might be. I have never personally used, tried or seen one of these engines, but they seem to sell cheap on ebay etc. I doubt i will buy one but i wonder if they will be under $1000.00 ??? I prefer to fly DA and BME gassers and only O.S. glow engines.

i'm not saying that i am ready to jump on one of these but it may very well be a viable powerplant for our new
"Hyper-LITE" 55% Extra260. it's being designed around the 170 and we have a motor box specifically for the DA200. i'm guessing that this engine will fit that application.

it'll be good to know where to get one for our customer's sake.
