I'm 28, I’ve been flying for 19 years and never really stopped. But I rarely see anyone age or younger at the flying field. I think it’s more to do with money, time/school. But I would love see more people 18-30 years of age getting involved in RC flying including IMAC and F3a.

Everybody in here is a young adult, or BIG KID, which ever you choose. At least that's what the wife tells me everytime I go to the workshop.

There are the obvious reasons like school and money for not flying but I tend to think that most people in our age group are just not patient enough to learn to fly and stick with it. Face it there is a learning curve to flying, not everyone can just pick up a transmitter and go fly like Leseberg, Shulman or AJ. We live in a society that in general wants instant gratification and you don't always get the with flying.

Kevin Y, very well said. I am 44 now and still love this hobby after 30 years of being in it. I am totally comfortable hanging with you younger guys, I might be 44 but my wife says I am still a 9 year old at heart. I have already done all my dues paying of coming up thru the career ranks, I can goof off now.
