Default audible altitude sensor

does anyone know of a company that makes an audible altitude sensor that transmits sound back to the ground? we are looking for a device that senses altitude like an eagle tree but will transmit a signal/sound back to the ground when you near a preset altitude or exceed it. any help in a direction would be a great help.

That sounds like the worst idea ever! Then everyone would know when we break the 400ft limit.

The soaring guys often use thermal finders that do just that. They transmit back via 2-way radio to a radio you have on your side when you are climbing, as well as descending, as well as send your altitude. I am not sure where to get them, and I know they arent cheap. I think I was told around 4 in change from one of the guys that does aerotow with us.

The Hitec Aurora will have the ability to get real time speed and altitude with the optional sensor station and GPS. You can also have up to (4) temps , (2) RPM, and fuel sensors. If connected to a PC you can view the flightpath in Google Earth. Aurora 9 is $429.99 and the entire telemetry package is $250.
