Hitec is sure paving the way with great gear trains, lots of torque and great precision. I believe Hitec will change the way we look at servos in 2010.

Soon there will be no need for multiple servos on a surface. Airplane manufactures will just need to have torque tubes running down the ailerons to attach these powerful servos

Good going HiTech - Glen,

While working in Japan 20 years ago I tried to get JR to use Hall or Magnetorestrictive sensors in their servos. Nobody listened.

Four years ago I told Glen at HiTech and also Multiplex to do the same thing - now someone listened!

Also check out the following site to see some servos that our Robot Buddies are playing with!

Huh? Specs are listed at 7.4v!

FYI: TH = Titanium/High Voltage. M = Magnetic Encoder. HS = Hitec Servo.

Hitec is working on some lower cost "Lipo Ready" servos.

Mike, Can I run my 7955's on 7.4 volt lipo? Are they listed for that voltage?

They're not listed at it, but it's not a problem. You have my (Hitec's) blessing!

Mike: What would be the torque ratings running then at 7.4?

No, Hitec servos are built at our own facility in Korea.

I've always used hitec servos and I picked up some jr servos(8711) from a friend and I'm not impressed with jr at all. When the 7950's came out, I started buying them to replace the jr's so I've got 8 8711's for sale. Good buy slop and hello mega tourqe and precision!

There is such a servo to use for throttle and choke, look at troy built models for the power hd high voltage servos.

http://www.troybuiltmodels.com/items/HD-DS120MHV.html
http://www.troybuiltmodels.com/items/HD-1501MGHV.html

Certainly not hitec quality but good enough for throttle and choke, so you wouldn't have to regulate your power down to 6volts.
