Is there a range differance between a Futaba 2.4 FASST gsurface sytem and an air system?
I am doing a none model project that will be used ground to ground and I need to get around 2000 to 2500 feet range. So will an 6EX FASST ( aircraft system ) give me that range on the ground?

We range tested the 6EX 2.4/ R606FS combo (ground check) when it first came out, and we stopped testing at 1.2 miles, never lost signal.
I've seen reports (on RCG) from some German guys, they were still connected at 2.5 miles. Doug. |

You will get maximum range if you orient both transmit and receive antennas vertically.
