Well I have an 8U super but I don't know if it is the same tx you are talking about. On mine it is not a mix but fits in the aleavator program. I know I screwed that up, but it's something like that. My manual is out in the shop and its pouring rain out and I'm getting ready for bed. But it is real easy to do. That link should help though..........
Tom Oh wait a minute, I have my tx right here. It is done in the ALVATR program. The right hand servo goes to channel 2 and the left to channel 8. You will then be given 4 aileron choices. Make AIL4 a 0, and AIL3 a 0, then ELE1 +100 and ELE2 a -100, by the way you have to turn this function on first. I will dig my manual out tomorrow and tell you what it says. But like I say our radios might be different, mine is a T8UAFS. |

Ok, I assume you are having difficulty becasue you are using a 7 channel receiver? Or you can't get the knob to shut off so it dorks the elevator? If you are using the 8 channel receiver it is easy.. for the seven channel receiver- use one of the program mixes to mix the elevator to whatever channel you are using- most likely 5 or 7? Then the trick is to use another program mix to mix the channel you used( either 5 or 7) to itself except you set the rates to -100 percent- That way you disable the knob...

Thanks everyone. I have it working now. The futaba link really helped. 2walla: I am going to try your post tomorrow. I do have it set to where the knob adjusts the trim.

Ok.. you had me curious. I followed your steps and disabled the knob... Now I am going to call it a night. Just seemed stupid to buy a servo reverser and screw with glitches!

The difference in the radios is that the A is Focused on airplanes and H is focused on Heli's. The throttle does not have the "click." It is smooth like a helicopter. For my purposes this is the only difference along with buttons having different labels.

I just converted the radio to 2.4. Easy process; however, it does not recognize each individual rx to a model. You have to adjust the model then turn on the plane. Found out the hard way when everything went haywire!

Gday just wondering did you end up mixing your elevators chnl 2 to 5 on a 7chnl receiver? and if so does trim work for both elevators? this is what I did with mine and ive just realised I only get trim out of 1 elevator
Im running the Futaba 8UAP Super. |

If the mixer, you must turn TRIM to "ON". Then the trim will work on the mixed channel, too.
