I'd at least like to fly a foamie or something!
It's been awhile. Been away 152 days this year. Should have been home yesterday, but that didn't happen because of the weather. Sitting here sippin a scotch and trying it again today. See you soon toodles...

I'm not sure if this was already answered but since we're on a similar topic, I figured I'd ask.
On my aeroworks edge, in knife edge, the plane likes to pitch towards the gear. Does that sound like a thrust line issue? Flying inverted the plane holds level at all throttle positions until airspeed is too low. Vertical downline, the plane shoots straight down until I pull out of it. Haven't yet tried a 45 up line, but I'll test that next flight. Any thoughts? |

Me & Lou were out there this Sunday, the road is flooded(by fence next to field) and gate is broken off the posts. The spot-o-pot was up against the fence, I think the winds gusts were 50-60 during the storm. You have to come in straight or use the gate in front of the Omni. The field is good though. You better git out here, Lou is on a mission, he'll pass you!!!

Nick,
Next time we're out together, can I fly it? I think you know I can hover. I'd like to see what she "feels" like and we can easily go from there. That 24 oz. tank was not the problem. I use one in all my 28% planes and they all hover just fine. Anything else fine as well. Folks, Nick is not a beginner. He flies very well and managed to place in at least one IMAC event this past year with some stiff competition. However, I think his focus on precision has left him a bit weak in the 3d area. I KNOW we can fix that in very short order. |

usually you will have to do a rudder to elevator mix for the coupling. an aft cg can make the coupling worse but once you have your cg were you want it then you can work out the coupling. you may also have to do a rudder to aileron mix. sometimes it will want to roll out on you. all this in normal mixing.

Pat you are welcome to fly my plane anytime. I've seen your skillz with the Red Bull.
From what I found in retrimming my plane after the engine box mod is. 1. The closer you are to a forward CG the less mix and coupling. 2. With my TOC it likes a bit of upward thrust 1/2 * 3. The less weight upfront and around the wing tube is better.
