Default 1 or 2 servos per stab - 40% w/8711HV servos

What have the experiences been with running 1 JR 8711HV per stab on a 40% bird with a JR1222 PowerSafe receiver @ 7.4V and 12X? Airplane is a 3W Yak being upgraded to HV servos on 7.4V UNREGULATED and 2.4mhz. Primary flying style is high energy 3D per video below.

Trying to get feedback on whether 1 8711HV will work or whether I need to go with 2 per stab.

Thanks

Greg

Greg,

One more than enough. Use the inboard bay.
I ran both servos one per stab 8711 and 8711HV without any issues! Currently running the 8711, as I took my HV and used them on another planes rudder. But I had both for sometime. So right now, my 120" QQ-Yak is running on 1222, Li-Mn, HV on wings and rudder and 8711 on elevator, un regulated! The RE3 pipe video, servo is 8711 on 8.4v. The HV gear train lasts longer and it is a little more owerful. It is harder to notice it on elevator but on ailerons is more noticeable!

I have to say this will void the warranty on the servos, I did it at my own risk! Most problems occur when these servos used on surfaces that use multiple servos, if it is not professionally matched, it will heat up the servos and cause problems as they are not designed for 8.4v. I can not suggest to anyone to use these servos unregulated as JR/HH does not support it but if you are like me and willing to try things at your own risk, you are more than welcome to it

I can't wait to send them in under warranty! I'm just gonna say, "Reza said to do it!" LOL

I definitely understand about the warranty issues and the fact that improper matching will cause detirment when this amount of current is going thru them. If I do so, it will certainly be "at my own risk!"

Thanks again for the info.

Matt
