Default 100cc Extra300 canister mouting brackets and fuel vent

Hey All,

Close to finishing a Pilot-RC 100cc Extra 300 w/ DLE111. This is my first gasser build. Two questions:

1. Do I need to use both of the supplied Canister Mounting Brackets or is just one enough? I cannot tell if two are supplied because you need to use both or because different mounting locations require them to be a slightly different shape.

2. Is it better to locate the gas tank vent hose exit out of the bottom of the cowl or out the bottom of the fuse (so I don't have to mess with it when removing the cowl)?

1. I decided to install both can mounting brackets in but a removable way.

2. Still up in the air as to what people think is the best location for the vent tube intake/exit. Someone suggested I put a filter on the tube end as well so nothing gets in it during take-off/landing/down on the deck. Sounds good in theory. Does anyone else do this?

Although I don't filter my vent tube, it couldnt hurt. I prefer to vent thru the fuselage, mostly to keep the line shorter. I try to keep everything unconnected to the cowl that I can. It just makes for easier assembly and removal.
